Swimming is one of the most popular sports in world. Unlike other sports, swimming is a life skill that is taught, first, to ensure safety and, secondly, for sports and competition purposes.
This swim program is for children & adults ages (8+) with intellectual disabilities. Practices will focus on developing the swimmers' endurance, technique, and competitive swimming skills. The Special Olympics Texas team practices once a week and swimmers can compete in the regional and state meets in the fall.
